The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) is the financial regulatory agency in Belgium.

Key Facts
The FSMA is responsible for supervising the financial markets and listed companies, authorizing and supervising certain categories of financial institutions, overseeing compliance by financial intermediaries with codes of conduct and supervising the marketing of investment products to the general public, as well as for the 'social supervision' of supplementary pensions. The FSMA was formed on 1 April 2011, replacing the Banking, Finance and Insurance Commission (Belgium) as the new integrated financial regulator in Belgium under the so called "Twin Peaks" model where it shares responsibility for the financial markets with the Central bank of Belgium.
