  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ALACRA SELECTED FOR ECONTENT MAGAZINE’S 2007 LIST OF “100 COMPANIES THAT MATTER MOST IN THE DIGITAL CONTENT INDUSTRY”
Alacra Honored for the Seventh Time Since the List Debuted in 2001

New York, NY, December 4, 2007 – New York, NY, December 4, 2007 – EContent Magazine has selected Alacra, Inc., a leading provider of online business information solutions, as one of the top companies in the digital content industry in the publication’s just released 2007 EContent 100 List. The annual ranking, judged by a dozen industry experts with diverse backgrounds and knowledge of the digital content industry, honors the “companies that matter most in the digital content industry.” EContent Magazine identifies and explains emerging digital content trends, strategies and resources. The 2007 EContent 100 List is featured in the December issue of EContent magazine and can be found online at www.econtentmag.com.

“The EContent 100 list represents the best and the brightest digital content companies,” wrote Michelle Manafy, editor-in-chief of EContent Magazine, in an introduction to this year’s list. “We offer this list not just to recognize companies that lead our industry, but to inspire organizations of all kinds to join in the content conversation online.”

Alacra, based in New York City, creates sophisticated online technology and services to help clients find, package and present business information. Instead of users having to search multiple data sources, Alacra is an aggregator of aggregators, providing a unique, single point of access for multiple databases and resources, including FitchRatings, Freedonia, Newstex, Datamonitor, MSCI Barra, Edgar Online and many others. More than 600 investment and commercial banks, management consulting firms, and other corporations worldwide – with more than 50,000 individual users - access www.Alacra.com and its sister eCommerce site, www.AlacraStore.com, every day to find and integrate business information into their daily workflow.

“Alacra delivers products and services that allow financial institutions, commercial banks, management consultants, law firms, and other companies and organizations to easily search and integrate business information from hundreds of sources into their reports, research and deal documents,” said Steven Goldstein, chairman and CEO of Alacra. “Our focus is delivering technology and solutions to help companies manage the voluminous amount of business data currently available. It’s exciting and an honor that the judges of the EContent 100 list have again recognized the value of the solutions Alacra provides.”

Alacra’s selection for the 7th annual EContent 100 list follows a September 2007 commissioned study conducted by Forrester Consulting, an independent research firm, demonstrating that one of the company’s services, Alacra Concordance, offered users a three year 402 percent return on investment. Alacra Concordance is a solution that allows financial institutions and professional service firms to smoothly integrate disparate financial and corporate information.

The study* reported that, “Forrester found two areas of significant benefit, in the form of: a) productivity improvements for high-value banking personnel, and b) the internal labor cost savings from manually “concording” or indexing entity identifiers and matching those with a firm’s own data, information, and knowledge.”

In addition, Alacra recently launched Alacra Content Marketplace, a new service that allows small and large publishers to post and sell business research and other content via the company’s Alacra Premium and the Alacra Store (www.alacrastore.com) eCommerce services.

About Alacra, Inc. Alacra creates sophisticated online technology and services to help clients find, package and present business information. Financial institutions, professional service firms and other corporations have long used the same content sets to support clients, research deals and investigate market opportunities. The Alacra mission is to package this content and deliver it in a format that best meets each organization's precise needs. For more information, visit www.alacra.com.
