The Central Registration Depository (CRD) is a computerized database that contains information about most brokers, their representatives, and the firms they work for.

Web CRD , the central licensing and registration system for the U.S. securities industry and its regulators is operated by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).  It contains the registration records of more than 6,800 registered broker-dealers and the qualification, employment, and disclosure histories of more than 660,000 active registered individuals.
