department technology. The objective is to assess companies’ technology situation and
needs as they pertain to the in-house legal department.
Data Collection
The survey was conducted during Spring 2011 by means of a web-based questionnaire with senior in-house legal personnel with technology decision making responsibilities across a variety of Fortune 500-level companies. A total of 64 companies responded.
Information includes:
- Technology and outside counsel
- Mobile devices and legal department policy
- Hosted solutions (e-discovery, document management, etc.)
- Technology budget for capital and operating expenses for 2011
Where similar questions were asked in the previous survey (June 2009), we matched the
responses to the current year for comparison purposes. |
